Bangkok Bank PCLBangkok Bank signed a cooperation agreement with Bank Permata to link Thai and Indonesian entrepreneurs, expanding its corporate client business matching and capital access.

Bangkok Bank has signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia's Bank Permata to serve as a platform linking Thai and Indonesian entrepreneurs for business matching, access to local partners and sources of capital, with the goal of expanding trade and investment between the two countries. Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank, said the bank organized the Bangkok Bank Indonesia Exclusive Trip, bringing a total of 37 corporate customers, comprising large, medium and small business clients, to meet and hold discussions with customers of Bank Permata in Jakarta from September 27 to 30, 2026. Bank Permata has more than 200 branches covering 81 key cities across Indonesia. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Thailand's Ambassador to Indonesia, noted that the activity aligns with the Thailand-Indonesia Strategic Partnership Plan for 2026-2030. Meanwhile, Mrs. Melisa Rusli, Managing Director of Bank Permata Indonesia, said the cooperation will combine Bangkok Bank's regional network with Bank Permata's local market expertise. Currently, Thailand and Indonesia are working to expand bilateral trade value from approximately 19.5 billion US dollars in 2025 toward a maximum target of 23 billion US dollars by 2030.
