Excluding the impacts from changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange, total company comparable sales increased 7.6 percent, with the U.S. up 8.0 percent, Canada up 4.9 percent and other international up 7.7 percent. Digitally-enabled sales increased 19.0 percent year-over-year, or 19.1 percent excluding foreign exchange. Costco said Labor Day in the U.S. and Canada occurred one week later this year, positively impacting September total and comparable sales by a little more than 50bps, and the company currently operates 939 warehouses.
