Central Pattana Public Company Limited, or CPN, has announced the transformation of its Central Bangna shopping centre into a future-facing mixed-use New Master Planning project. The first phase focuses on the retail component, with a gross building area of 330,000 square metres, supporting the growth of eastern Bangkok under the Living Gallery concept. The company is bringing in more than 300 well-known shops and new brands opening gradually, along with 200 events throughout the year, and targets visitor traffic growth to between 45,000 and 50,000 people. Inside the centre will be a Central department store in a new flagship-standard concept, which is being gradually renovated and will open in full in 2027, along with a 6,000-square-metre X Venture and a Fun City, both opening in 2027. Meanwhile, data from The1 shows that Central Bangna ranks in the top five shopping centres with more than 85% of its customers in the Wealthy Families group, and the company is ready to expand its car park to 3,500 spaces to serve future visitors.
