ZcashFortitude plans to buy up to $100M of next-gen Zcash miners and expand its Zcash mining capacity, signaling growing mining demand for the Zcash network.

Fortitude Mining Holdings, a Digital Currency Group subsidiary that mines Zcash, announced on October 5 that it plans to purchase up to $100 million of BITMAIN's next-generation Zcash mining machines. Fortitude already operates a Zcash mining business and in May ordered 9,000 ANTMINER Z15 Pro miners made by BITMAIN. This time it has secured a priority supply allocation so it can obtain the next-generation machines, which have not yet gone on general sale, ahead of other companies. The letter of intent it signed is not legally binding, and the maximum purchase amount of $100 million and the number of units will be decided later; the two companies will sign a purchase contract after BITMAIN formally announces the performance and pricing of the next-generation machines, and shipments of the equipment are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027. Fortitude plans to add the next-generation machines alongside its existing miners to further expand its Zcash mining capacity, and for this capital investment it has raised its credit line from its parent company DCG from $50 million to $70 million.
