Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee, or EECO, and Charamporn Jotikasthira, a director of Bangkok Bank, jointly signed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, on the development of innovations and services to drive investment promotion in the Eastern Economic Corridor and to elevate the investment ecosystem in the EEC area. This cooperation aims to promote the development of innovations, services, and digital technology infrastructure so that investors and operators in target industries can access financial, investment, and business products and services thoroughly, conveniently, quickly, and securely. Both parties will also jointly study ways to apply digital technology to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the use of EECO's electronic permits and documents, including the linking and exchange of electronic data and documents, as well as the exchange of knowledge, personnel development, and research studies to elevate the platform toward actual use. This cooperation between EECO and Bangkok Bank is regarded as another important step in integrating the potential of the public sector and the financial sector in bringing digital technology to develop services and processes related to investment, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the EEC area and Thailand sustainably.
