Evergy reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of 88 cents per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 82 cents by 7.3% and rising 7.3% from the year-ago quarter. Quarterly revenues totaled $1.50 billion, surpassing the consensus estimate of $1.48 billion and increasing 4.4% from $1.44 billion a year earlier. Total operating expenses rose 2.4% to $1.12 billion, with fuel and purchased-power costs edging down to $328.5 million from $330.4 million, while operating and maintenance expenses increased 2.3% to $260.9 million and depreciation and amortization grew 5.5% to $304.3 million. Interest expenses climbed 7.9% to $165.9 million. Evergy Kansas Central's operating revenues improved 4.9% to $769.5 million and net income rose to $138.1 million from $120.4 million, while Evergy Metro's operating revenues increased 3.7% to $488.7 million and net income grew to $78.7 million from $68.8 million. The company reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance range of $4.14 to $4.34 and expects an adjusted EPS annual growth target of 6% to 8% through 2030.
