Summary · why it matters

Tutor Perini Corporation's subsidiary Perini Management Services has secured an approximately $315 million contract from the U.S. Coast Guard for work at Coast Guard Base Kodiak in Alaska. The project calls for construction of a new fuel pier to support major cutter operations under the Coast Guard's accelerated design-build-to-budget delivery method, expanding dock capacity to accommodate up to two major cutter berths. The scope also includes unexploded ordnance removal, waterfront improvements, a new fueling utility building, utility work, cutter shore ties and other supporting site amenities. Design activities began in late September 2026, with substantial completion expected in September 2030, and Tutor Perini expects the contract value to be added to its backlog in the third quarter of 2026. The award expands Tutor Perini's federally funded infrastructure and military work, after the company booked approximately $1.7 billion of new awards and contract adjustments in the second quarter of 2026 and ended that period with a near-record backlog of $19.9 billion. As of June 30, 2026, remaining performance obligations stood at $9.4 billion for the Civil segment, $5.1 billion for Building and $2.1 billion for Specialty Contractors.
