Airoha Technology and its parent company MediaTek are jointly exhibiting a next-generation 50G-PON AI Gateway Processor at Network X 2026, delivering 50+50 Gbps symmetric bidirectional throughput with low power consumption. The 50G-PON solution offers up to 5x higher transmission speeds and up to 80% lower latency compared with XGS-PON, and integrates high-speed PON, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 8 and Edge AI into a next-generation fixed broadband gateway platform. Airoha's 50G-PON AI Gateway Processor has been shortlisted for the Network X Awards 2026 "Outstanding Multi-Gigabit Fibre Access Innovation." The solution adopts a highly integrated SoC architecture with 20 cores and powerful packet processing, and features built-in TOPS-level compute supporting multiple mainstream AI models plus PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography). MH Shieh, Executive Vice President and Spokesperson of Airoha Technology, said fixed broadband is evolving beyond high-speed access toward intelligent networking, with the platform enabling gateways to progressively gain network diagnostics and self-healing capabilities. The exhibition runs 13-15 October 2026 at Messe Wien, Vienna, Austria, at MediaTek and Airoha Booth K35.
