SciSparc's AI and quantum pivot drives gains, Tourette drug advances

  • Agentic AI pivot opens new growth path SciSparc's board decided to target the agentic AI market and formed an AI and cybersecurity advisory board, while evaluating deals with several AI companies. This signals a strategic shift toward a high-growth tech sector, which can lift SPRC's price by attracting investors betting on a new business line beyond biotech.

This is a new strategic direction that changes the company's story and investor appeal.

  • Quantum workflow validation sparks 70% surge NeuroThera Labs validated a quantum sampling workflow for clinical trial data on an S&P 500 company's platform, and SPRC shares jumped 70.5% to $9.09. The move shows investors are rewarding the quantum computing angle, though such sharp one-day spikes can fade without follow-through.

This was the period's biggest price catalyst and shows how the quantum story is being received.

  • Tourette drug advances with Phase IIb and FDA orphan bid NeuroThera started a Phase IIb trial of SCI-110 for Tourette Syndrome at Hannover Medical School and is seeking FDA Orphan Drug Designation, hiring a government affairs firm. Progress on the core drug candidate supports SPRC's value by raising the odds of a future approved product.

Clinical and regulatory progress on the main drug candidate is a fundamental value driver.

  • CliniQuantum reports 16.8-fold simulation speedup CliniQuantum, majority-owned by NeuroThera, reported a 16.8-fold speedup in quantum simulation on gene data using a GPU. The company itself notes this benchmark does not prove clinical value, so the news supports the tech narrative but is not yet a proven medical or revenue breakthrough.

This is the latest quantum milestone that keeps the technology story alive for investors.

SciSparc Unit CliniQuantum Reports 16.8-Fold Quantum Simulation Speedup on Gene Data

SciSparc Ltd. announced that CliniQuantum Ltd., the majority-owned subsidiary of its NeuroThera Labs Inc. unit, reported an approximately 16.8-fold computational acceleration from its GPU-accelerated quantum-simulation platform. The benchmark ran on a single machine with 64 cores and a single NVIDIA T4 Tensor Core GPU, compared with the same 64-vCPU machine using only a CPU implementation. The evaluation used a real clinical gene-expression dataset of 11 patients and 3,531 gene-expression features, a high-dimensional setting in which biological variables greatly outnumber patients. Searching for correlated three-gene configurations, the algorithm covered 7,331,162,245 possible three-gene combinations and identified approximately 22.2 million correlated gene triplets at a predefined minimum correlation threshold. The analysis took approximately 8.4 hours on 64 vCPUs versus approximately 0.5 hours with the single NVIDIA T4 GPU, while producing the same qualifying gene-triplet results. The benchmark, run on an AWS g4dn.16xlarge EC2 machine using IBM Qiskit Aer GPU-based quantum simulation, was designed to evaluate computational performance and did not establish the clinical validity, predictive value, or potential utility of any identified gene combinations. CliniQuantum said it intends to advance its algorithms toward increasingly complex multi-feature configurations and larger biomedical datasets, progressing from simulation and validation toward execution on quantum computing hardware.

SciSparc Subsidiary Seeks FDA Orphan Drug Status for Tourette Drug

SciSparc Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, NeuroThera Labs Inc., is pursuing U.S. Food and Drug Administration Orphan Drug Designation for SCI-110, its drug candidate for treating adults with Tourette Syndrome, and has engaged RK Strategies, a U.S. government and public affairs firm, to support the regulatory pathway. The designation, if granted, could strengthen the product's market profile, as it is reserved for therapies targeting rare diseases affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the United States. SCI-110, a cannabinoid-based candidate combining dronabinol and palmitoylethanolamide, recently advanced into a Phase IIb program at three academic centers, building on Phase IIa results that showed an average tic reduction of 21% as measured by the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale. The engagement with RK Strategies aims to boost visibility among federal stakeholders and reinforce the importance of new treatment options for adult Tourette Syndrome.

NeuroThera Labs Initiates Phase IIb Trial for Tourette Syndrome Treatment at Hannover Medical School

NeuroThera Labs, a subsidiary of SciSparc, has initiated its Phase IIb clinical trial site at Hannover Medical School in Germany for SCI-110, its proprietary cannabinoid-based treatment candidate for Tourette Syndrome in adults. The trial, which previously received regulatory clearance from Germany’s Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices and the ethics committee at Hannover Medical School, will also be conducted at Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, Connecticut, and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of daily oral SCI-110 in patients aged 18 to 65, with the primary endpoint being the change in tic severity measured by the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale at weeks 12 and 26 compared to baseline. The Phase IIb trial builds on positive Phase IIa results that showed an average tic reduction of 21% across all participants.
