ADEIA CORPAdeia renewed a multi-year IP license with Charter's Spectrum, adding broadband and mobility coverage to its media IP portfolio.
Adeia Inc. announced a multi-year renewal of its intellectual property license agreement with Charter Communications, Inc., through its Spectrum brand. The deal renews Spectrum's license to Adeia's media IP portfolio across its pay-TV and other video services, and adds coverage for Spectrum's broadband and mobility businesses. The agreement marks the latest in a series of renewals with Spectrum, the nation's leading video provider, whose relationship with Adeia and its predecessor companies spans more than two decades. Dr. Mark Kokes, chief revenue officer of Adeia, said the renewal underscores the enduring strength and relevance of the company's media IP portfolio in the pay-TV market and reflects the growing relevance of its innovations as video, broadband and mobile services converge. Adeia's media IP portfolio, developed through decades of research and development, is broadly licensed across the global media, entertainment and connectivity ecosystems and is embedded in billions of devices worldwide.
