Dosilicon released its 2026 semi-annual report, achieving operating revenue of 1.497 billion yuan, up 336.44 percent year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 659 million yuan, swinging to a profit, while gross margin jumped from less than 19 percent in the same period last year to 67.66 percent. The company said the sharp reversal in performance was mainly due to the surge in AI computing power demand prompting overseas memory manufacturers to accelerate their exit from the niche market, with supply continuing to shrink, while downstream demand in network communications, industrial control and other areas recovered steadily, and the widening supply-demand gap drove product prices up sharply. While the memory main business recovered strongly, the company continued to advance its integrated strategy of storage, computing and connectivity. Wi-Fi 7 chip research and development and the strategic investment in GPU company Shanghai Lisuan are still in the investment phase, with the latter confirming an investment loss of about 41.59 million yuan during the reporting period. The company stressed that the significant improvement in profitability of its main memory business is sufficient to support and cover the impact of the above strategic investments on short-term profit. The board of directors also approved the 2026 interim profit distribution and capital reserve conversion plan, proposing to distribute a cash dividend of 6 yuan per 10 shares before tax to all shareholders, totaling about 264 million yuan in cash, accounting for 40 percent of net profit attributable to the parent company for the period, while converting 4.9 shares for every 10 shares from capital reserve, totaling about 216 million shares. On the same day, Dosilicon disclosed plans to use 682 million yuan of over-raised funds to build a storage, computing and connectivity integrated chip research and development project with a construction period of about 42 months. The project will integrate memory chips, connectivity chips and computing chips into a single chip through advanced packaging technology to create low-power embedded system-on-chip intelligent computing chips that can be applied in smart homes, industrial Internet of Things and other fields. Research and development expenses account for as much as 75.4 percent of the total project investment, reaching 514 million yuan, which will be used for wafer tape-outs, packaging and testing trial production, and expansion of the research and development team. The company believes that as generative large models migrate toward lightweight deployment on terminal devices, demand for on-device intelligent computing will continue to grow, and the company's existing complete NAND, NOR and DRAM storage solutions and Wi-Fi 7 research and development accumulation can provide coordinated storage, computing and connectivity support for the new project. After the project is completed, it will enrich the company's product structure, promote the company's expansion from a memory chip supplier to a provider of smart chips and solutions, and enhance its overall competitiveness. However, Dosilicon cautioned that competition in the integrated circuit design industry is fierce, and the new project involves high technical complexity and a long development cycle, so there are still risks that research and development progress may fall short of expectations or even fail.
Dosilicon's strategic investment in Shanghai Lisuan confirmed an investment loss of about 41.59 million yuan.

AMD CEO Lisa Su Says Chip Demand Outruns Supply, Plans Capacity Years Ahead
Advanced Micro Devices CEO Lisa Su said chip demand remains ahead of supply and expects it to stay very high for the next several years, speaking to reporters in Taipei on October 6. Su said AMD has increased supply through 2026 and plans a much bigger jump in 2027, with capacity now planned three to five years ahead. Her Asia trip included meetings with Foxconn and TSMC, followed by talks with memory makers in South Korea, as AI chips depend on large amounts of memory that constrain how many AMD can ship. Stifel raised its AMD target to $700 on October 5, arguing AI buildouts are limited by chip supply. AMD's forward non-GAAP P/E of 83.38x and forward price-to-sales ratio of 20.25x both sit at more than double their 5-year averages, while analysts expect EPS to rise about 82% in 2026, 107% in 2027 and 45% in 2028.

Micron Technology Taoyuan Workers Vote to Authorize Strike Over Bonus Dispute
Workers at Micron Technology's Taoyuan facility in Taiwan have voted to authorize a strike after bonus negotiations failed. The authorization covers staff at a key memory manufacturing plant that supports Micron's global supply chain for memory and storage products, with labor representatives framing the dispute around year-end compensation and bonus terms tied to recent corporate performance metrics. The vote puts a critical production hub at higher operational risk just as Micron runs very high capex and leans on tight DRAM and NAND supply as a profit driver, while rivals Samsung and SK Hynix contest AI memory share. Micron designs and manufactures memory and storage products across the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Europe, so any disruption in Taiwan affects a production network serving data centers, consumer devices and AI hardware customers worldwide. Analysts have already flagged high capital intensity and cyclicality as major risks, and the dispute adds a people and supply-chain layer to that same concern.

Jacob Funds Adds Rambus Stake on Data Center Memory Shift
Jacob Funds disclosed a new position in Rambus Inc. in its third-quarter 2026 investor letter, citing the memory chip maker's exposure to data center infrastructure trends. The Jacob Internet Fund added Rambus as its sole new holding in the quarter, with the firm arguing the market underestimates the rollout of next-generation MRDIMM server memory, which doubles data transfer speeds without costly server redesigns. Jacob Funds said the shift toward memory pooling should lift the dollar value of Rambus components inside every AI server, driving higher average selling prices and wider margins in its product revenue category. Rambus closed at $108.47 on October 08, 2026, with an $11.76 billion market capitalization, an 18.04% year-to-date gain, a 52-week range of $77.89 to $174.10, and $756.33 million in trailing twelve-month revenue. Fifty hedge fund portfolios held the stock at the end of the second quarter, up from 35 in the previous quarter.
