KBANK launches flood relief measures: 3-month debt suspension, up to 50% cut in car instalments

Kasikornbank, or KBANK, has announced relief measures for individual and business customers affected by flooding across all 50 districts of Bangkok as well as areas designated by the Ministry of Interior, aimed at easing the financial burden and boosting liquidity for affected customers. For Kasikorn home loan customers, principal repayment can be suspended with interest-only payments for up to 3 months, and customers can request additional loan credit to repair damaged homes at a 0% interest rate for 3 months, with collateral appraisal fees waived. Kasikorn credit card customers, Xpress Loan personal loan customers and Xpress Cash card customers can likewise suspend principal repayment and pay only interest for up to 3 months. For auto hire-purchase customers, the bank will cut monthly instalments by up to 50% for 6 months and extend the repayment period by a further 3 months. Affected business customers can request suspension of principal repayment on existing credit lines, paying only interest for up to 3 months. Customers can apply for assistance from the date of the announcement until 31 December 2026. Individual customers can contact the K-Contact Center on 02-888-8888, business customers can contact their relationship manager or the K-BIZ Contact Center on 02-888-8822, and auto hire-purchase customers can contact the KLeasing Call Center on 02-696-9999. In addition, customers who bought motor insurance and property insurance through Kasikornbank, underwritten by Muang Thai Insurance, and who suffered flood damage can file claims through the Line Official Account @mtifriend, by email at EMC_Motor@muangthaiinsurance.com, or via the Call Center on 1484, as well as through the online form the company has prepared. Consideration and payment of compensation will follow the conditions specified in each individual insurance policy.
