Xiamen Leading Optics Co LtdLeading Optics board approved an US$8M capital increase into its wholly owned Malaysian subsidiary, raising planned total investment to US$18M for a production base.

Leading Optics announced that the 23rd meeting of its third board of directors approved a plan to increase investment in its wholly owned subsidiary EVETAR (MALAYSIA) SDN.BHD. by US$8 million, funded by its own or self-raised capital. After the capital increase, the planned total investment will rise to US$18 million. The subsidiary is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and import and export of optical glass and optical lens related products, and the company holds 100% of its equity. The funds will be used for the construction of a production base in Malaysia. The company noted that this investment involves capital outbound and still needs to obtain filing or approval from relevant authorities including development and reform, commerce, foreign exchange management, and Malaysian government agencies, so there is uncertainty. Malaysia's policies, laws, and business environment differ from those in China, and there are operational, management, and foreign exchange risks. This capital increase does not constitute a related-party transaction or a major asset restructuring, and does not need to be submitted to the shareholders' meeting for review.
