Macnica, Inc. has acquired a majority stake in Orangeleaf Consulting Holdings Co., a Malaysian-founded digital transformation consultancy, to scale services for Japan's manufacturing sector. The deal builds on a collaboration started in 2024 using Siemens' Mendix low-code platform to help Japanese enterprises modernize legacy systems and develop in-house digital capabilities. Tim Hendricks has been appointed Founder and CEO of Orangeleaf Consulting, while co-founder Ellice Ng becomes Founder and Non-Executive Director for Brand and Strategic Innovation. Macnica, headquartered in Yokohama, brings expertise in semiconductors, AI, IoT, and cybersecurity, while Orangeleaf contributes agile delivery and software engineering talent primarily from Malaysia. The companies aim to address Japan's DX talent shortages and reduce dependence on external vendors by enabling enterprises to drive transformation from within.
