Revolution Medicines announced that Steve Kelsey, president of research and development, will transition to senior advisor to the CEO effective July 1, 2026, ahead of his planned retirement on January 4, 2027. The company anticipates appointing him to its board of directors upon retirement. As part of the transition, Revolution Medicines will implement an updated R&D leadership structure, with Alan Sandler continuing as chief development officer, Jan Smith as chief scientific officer, and Xiaolin Wang assuming the new role of executive vice president of integrated portfolio strategy and management. Kelsey has led the company's R&D organization since March 2017, playing a pivotal role in advancing its RAS(ON) inhibitor portfolio.
