Sercomm CorpSercomm unveiled a standards-compliant 50G PON product portfolio (ITU-T G.9804.3) with gateways and pluggable ONUs, a new product/R&D development.

Sercomm announced a fully standards-compliant 50G PON product portfolio aimed at accelerating service providers' migration to all-fiber networks. The lineup follows ITU-T G.9804.3 specifications and supports both asymmetric 50G/25G and symmetrical 50G/50G operation, with tri-PON coexistence alongside GPON and XGS-PON over the same optical distribution network, protecting operators' existing fiber investments. The ecosystem includes high-performance residential gateways and SFP pluggable ONUs with optimized DBA, enhanced OAM and network slicing capabilities for DPoE deployment models across cable, fiber and converged access networks. Chief Commercial Officer Dan Whalen said the company is developing the 50G PON CPE portfolio to help service providers navigate the fiber transition in residential, enterprise, mobile backhaul and cable broadband markets. Sercomm will showcase the solution at SCTE TechExpo26 from September 29 to October 1, 2026, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, at Booth No. I1638.
