The "Thai Chai Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)" programme has seen 25,481,215 people press to confirm their participation, accounting for 83.0% of all 30,709,378 eligible people, while 940,544 shops have joined, or 78.9% of the total 1,191,936 shops, according to Lalida Peritswiwattana, deputy spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, who disclosed the figures on 7 October 2026. Participants will receive government support at a rate of 60%, capped at 200 baht per person per day and no more than 1,000 baht per person over the entire programme period, running from 1 October to 30 November 2026. Eligible people can confirm their rights through the Paotang application until 15 October 2026, while merchants can confirm their rights through the Thung Ngern app until 30 November 2026, with no new shop registrations being accepted. Those who are unable to complete the process themselves through the Paotang app can seek help installing and registering the application, as well as signing up for the government's electronic wallet, or G-Wallet, at branches of Krungthai Bank, or KTB, nationwide, without having to carry out every step themselves via phone. Participants in the programme can spend on food, drinks, goods and specified services at participating shops between 06:00 and 23:00, and can order food or drinks through participating food delivery service providers between 06:00 and 21:00.
