It operates through Northern Homebuilding, Southern Homebuilding, and Financial Services segments, offering single-family homes and attached townhomes under the M/I Homes brand to first-time, move-up, empty-nester, multi-generational, and luxury buyers. The company also develops land, originates and sells mortgages, and provides title insurance and closing services. Formerly M/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., it changed its name to M/I Homes, Inc. in January 2004 and is based in Columbus, Ohio.

M/I Homes Q2 profit drops to $79 million
