Alaska Air Group, operating as Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, is making a significant investment in premium travel with the introduction of Aurora and Leihoku, two new flagship experiences designed to bring greater comfort, service and brand identity to the journey from airport to aircraft. The Aurora Suites will elevate Alaska Airlines' international business-class experience on its 787 fleet and introduce lie-flat suites on select transcontinental routes using the new 737-10 MAX, while Hawaiian Airlines' Leihoku Suites will enhance its A330 fleet with redesigned suites, dedicated airport services, upgraded interiors and cuisine inspired by Hawaii. Another notable addition is Premium Reserve, a new premium-economy cabin planned for 2028, offering 38 inches of pitch, wider seats, enhanced recline, leg and calf rests, 4K entertainment screens and additional charging options. The investment also extends beyond the aircraft, with ALK planning a nearly 41,000-square-foot lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, including a dedicated Aurora Lounge, while Hawaiian plans to open a new approximately 13,000-square-foot lounge in Honolulu. ALK's shares have gained 8.6% over the past six months compared with the Transportation - Airline industry's 7.5% growth, and the stock currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).
