Summary · why it matters

CGSI, or CGS International Securities (Thailand), expects the SET Index to hold above 1,600 points, supported by the positive factor of the US and China agreeing to extend their trade truce by another two months, until January 10, 2027. The statement came during a meeting between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping, helping to reduce geopolitical risk and supporting the global investment mood. CGSI sees the SET Index range at 1,600-1,630 points, even though it is being pressured by the rebound in oil prices and US bond yields, as well as uncertainty over the Middle East situation, after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared at the UN General Assembly that Iran will not surrender to US pressure. This sent the November Brent crude contract to close at 103.08 dollars per barrel, up 3.83 dollars, or 3.86%. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones closed at 51,511.59 points, down 352.10 points, or 0.68%; the S&P500 closed at 7,706.03 points, down 58.61 points, or 0.75%; and the Nasdaq closed at 26,936.04 points, down 308.24 points, or 1.13%. For recommended stocks, CGSI expects MOSHI's same-store sales growth in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 to grow 4.3% year on year, with net profit growing 14.2% year on year. For the hospital group, it expects combined net profit in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 to rise 11% year on year and 31% quarter on quarter, driven by an increase in foreign patients as well as outbreaks of influenza and COVID-19.
