Evolv Technologies Holdings announced it has been selected as the new security screening provider at Climate Pledge Arena, one of North America's busiest sports and entertainment venues. The arena chose Evolv Express people screening systems to help enhance the arrival experience for millions of guests attending games, concerts, and other live events. Climate Pledge Arena, home to the NHL's Seattle Kraken, the WNBA's Seattle Storm, and the PWHL's Seattle Torrent, opened in 2021 and is owned by One Roof Sports & Entertainment and operated by Oak View Group. Jim Dermody, Director of Security at Climate Pledge Arena, said the venue evaluated a number of screening solutions before selecting Evolv Express for its performance and operational efficiency. John Baier, Vice President of Sports & Entertainment at Evolv Technology, said Evolv is expected to be deployed at a significant number of NHL teams' venues during the upcoming season. The deployment expands Evolv's footprint across the Pacific Northwest, where it also works with the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park and the University of Washington Department of Athletics.
