OKI Electric Industry Company, LimitedEarly retirement program may reduce costs but impact on earnings is uncertain until applicant count is known.

Oki Electric Industry announced it will implement a special measure under its second-career support program targeting employees aged 55 and above. The company will add a special lump-sum payment on top of the standard retirement allowance, and will also provide re-employment support services for those who wish to use them. There is no set limit on the number of applicants. Eligible employees are regular employees who are at least 55 years old and have at least 10 years of continuous service as of October 31, 2026, as well as rehired employees who have reached mandatory retirement age. The application period runs from August 17 to September 25, with the retirement date set for October 31. The move is aimed at adapting to changes in business processes and roles driven by advances in AI and digital transformation, and at shifting human resources to growth areas and optimizing personnel allocation. At this point, there is no revision to the consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, and the company will disclose the impact on earnings after the number of applicants is finalized.
