Panya Poonpermpholsiri, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Synnex (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or SYNEX, told an online seminar for institutional investors titled "Expensive Chips, Tight Supply: How IT Operators Are Changing the Game," organized by Krungsri Securities Public Company Limited, that the challenge facing IT operators today is not merely higher chip prices, but managing their businesses for growth amid uncertainty over costs, supply, and purchasing power, making inventory management, product mix allocation, and margin preservation all the more important. SYNEX is therefore pressing ahead with building new Growth Engines across multiple markets to reduce its reliance on growth from any single business, while extending from its distribution business toward value creation through solutions, services, and partnerships with allies. It sees growth sources shifting from the traditional devices market toward higher-value technology and services, including AI, data centers, cloud, cybersecurity, subscription software, and managed system services. The company is also upgrading its support for partners across the entire business process, from generating market demand and designing and delivering solutions to expanding into recurring revenue, particularly in the cloud and AI segments through dedicated specialist teams, alongside after-sales service, product buyback, financial services, and product protection, in order to add value throughout the customer lifecycle.
