Shares of Thai Airways International, or THAI, rebounded 1.77%, or 0.10 baht, to 5.75 baht on trading value of 192 million baht, after falling for four consecutive trading days, amid reports that CEO Chai Eamsiri is set to be removed over poor management. Today, Lavaron Sangsnit, permanent secretary of the Finance Ministry and chairman of THAI's board, called a special board meeting to monitor the situation regarding passenger services at Suvarnabhumi Airport after the airline faced problems with delayed flights and a large number of unclaimed baggage. The agenda is expected to include the appointment of a committee to investigate Chai Eamsiri, amid reports that he will be removed from his post before his employment contract expires on January 31, 2027.
