Trinity Securities has released its calculation of stocks expected to be added to and removed from the SET50 and SET100 indices for the 1H27 review, the first draft of this cycle, using data through September 30. The actual data will not be confirmed until the end of November. The stocks expected to be added to the SET50 index are KCE, SPRC, IRPC and CENTEL, all four with 99.99% confidence. The stocks expected to be removed from the SET50 index are LH, OSP, TIDLOR and MRDIYT, also all four with 99.99% confidence. The stocks expected to be added to the SET100 index are MBK, TTW and PSL, while STPI could slip in as the fourth if HANA ultimately loses its place in the index. The stocks expected to be removed from the SET100 index are AURA, QH and MOSHI. HANA must avoid being placed on the Trading alert list throughout October and November to avoid the chance of being removed from the index. Strategically, Trinity recommends gradually buying for speculative gains the stocks almost certain to be added to the SET50 index in the next cycle, namely KCE, SPRC, IRPC and CENTEL, and views KCE as the most interesting given it is the largest market-cap stock among those likely to be added. At the same time, it recommends avoiding investment in the group likely to be removed from the SET50 index over the next one to two months, namely LH, OSP, TIDLOR and MRDIYT.
