Everyone is watching which AI model will win — GPT, Gemini, Claude, or Llama. But beneath those models sits a much quieter 'software layer' that preps the data, trains the models, runs them in production, and watches to see if they go off the rails. This is the 'picks and shovels' of the AI gold rush — a business that gets paid no matter which model wins, and where companies like Databricks and Scale AI have become tens-of-billions-of-dollars giants that most people have never even heard of.

AI data and security tooling demand broadens; Meta's enterprise push rattles software

  • AI data platform demand keeps accelerating Snowflake raised its full-year product revenue guidance to $6.07 billion (36% growth) after product revenue rose 37% to $1.49 billion, with AI products driving about half the acceleration and its CoCo coding agent passing 9,100 accounts. Oracle expanded its AI Database on AWS to 22 regions. Enterprises keep paying for the data layer that runs AI.

Shows the core demand engine of the theme still strengthening, with concrete raised guidance.

  • AI security and governance spending surges HiddenLayer raised $100 million as Gartner sees AI security spending jumping 83% to $2.83 billion this year, while Fortanix partnered with CrowdStrike and VAST Data embedded CrowdStrike's Falcon sensor into its AI operating system. Security and governance are becoming a large, funded corner of the tooling market.

Identifies a fast-growing new demand stream within the theme, backed by funding and spending forecasts.

  • Cheaper AI models and new data buyers widen the market Wells Fargo argued cheaper open AI models benefit incumbents like Microsoft and ServiceNow by embedding more AI into existing products, while JFrog beat estimates on AI-driven cloud adoption and Alibaba led a $300 million round in synthetic-data startup UniPat at a $2.5 billion valuation. Lower costs and fresh capital broaden tooling demand.

Explains a structural force — falling AI costs and new funding — that expands the addressable market for tooling vendors.

  • Meta's enterprise AI push pressures incumbent software Meta launched its enterprise platform with the Muse agent (1.1 million installs in 10 days) and hired MongoDB's CEO to run it, sending MongoDB down 25% and dragging ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle and others lower. A deep-pocketed new competitor could take share, but it also validates enterprise AI tooling demand and may expand the market.

Captures the period's biggest competitive shock to the theme, with both the threat and the demand validation.

Palantir Upgraded by Goldman Sachs as Armada Sovereign AI Deal Announced

Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street firms upgraded their views on Palantir Technologies in early October 2026, citing accelerating demand for sovereign AI, bespoke applications, and its verticalized AI platforms across government and commercial customers. At the same time, Palantir and Armada announced a partnership to deliver sovereign AI on modular data centers manufactured in the U.S. and allied nations, reinforcing Palantir's pitch that customers can keep models, data, and infrastructure entirely within their own security perimeter. Palantir's narrative projects $23.0 billion revenue and $10.2 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 55.2% yearly revenue growth and about a $7.2 billion earnings increase from $3.0 billion today, and yields a $195.57 fair value, a 6% downside to its current price. By contrast, the most bearish analysts assumed revenue of about US$17.9 billion and earnings of roughly US$6.4 billion by 2029, with slower margin expansion and higher competitive pressure potentially muting the impact of deals like the Armada sovereign AI stack.

Datadog Shares Jump 6.6% After CIBC Lifts Price Target

Datadog shares jumped 6.6% in the afternoon session after CIBC boosted its outlook and lifted its price target on the cloud monitoring company while reiterating an Outperform rating. CIBC analysts cited accelerating revenue growth and a stronger overall performance trajectory as the primary drivers behind their updated bullish view. The move came amid a broader rebound across the artificial intelligence sector, as technology and SaaS shares recovered from the previous day's AI-driven selloff sparked by an underwhelming revenue update from OpenAI. Datadog is up 118% since the beginning of the year and, at $291.35 per share, has set a new 52-week high. The stock's previous big move came 14 days ago, when it gained 5.9% after Wedbush initiated coverage with an Outperform rating.

KONST Raises $30M Series B Led by ADATA Technology

KONST, a Taiwan-based next-generation AI compute operator, has raised $30 million in Series B funding led by ADATA Technology, with strategic participation from MMobility, Pegatron Venture Capital, and several other corporate investors. The company said it will use the proceeds to scale up its AI data center buildout across Asia and accelerate its Token Factory strategy, which treats compute as production equipment and tokens as its output. That strategy rests on three layers: Konstra AI handles compute supply, from site selection and mechanical, electrical, and environmental control systems through GPU cluster tuning and operations; Glows.ai provides the conversion layer, breaking cluster compute into smaller units billed per second; and Horizon AI's (k) ATP Token handles governance and delivery, letting enterprises connect to every authorized model with a single project key and track usage through audit logs. KONST said the round's principal investors come from memory and storage, electrification solutions, and electronics manufacturing, while other participants span energy, semiconductors, and thermal management. Co-founder and chairman Ben Chang said the round is about more than the amount raised, adding that once AI becomes part of operations, computing power becomes essential infrastructure rather than a one-time project expense.

UiPath Named Forrester Wave Leader, Expands BDO and Snowflake AI Partnerships

UiPath was named a Leader in The Forrester Wave for Adaptive Process Orchestration in a recent 2026 report. The automation provider also expanded its collaboration with BDO USA to build AI-driven internal audit solutions for corporate clients, and deepened its integration with Snowflake to target advanced governance and automation capabilities for large enterprise customers. Both partnerships push UiPath deeper into high-value, data-heavy workflows such as internal audit, compliance, and governed analytics, which can increase stickiness and make it harder for large enterprises to switch away. The Forrester recognition and these alliances align with the narrative that UiPath wants to act as an AI control plane, with agentic orchestration and partnerships driving deeper customer use, though they do not yet answer questions about AI pricing pushback or how quickly new agents translate into annualized recurring revenue. The clearest test will be upcoming disclosures on annualized recurring revenue mix and large deal activity, especially references to Snowflake, BDO, and Test Cloud on Oracle Marketplace in customer win examples.

Progress Software Raises 2026 Guidance, Expands AI Platform With Domo and ShareFile

Progress Software raised its full-year 2026 guidance and reported higher year-on-year quarterly earnings in late September and early October 2026, while rolling out new AI and data capabilities across its Progress Agentic RAG platform and the recently acquired Domo and ShareFile Enterprise offerings. The company also continued its share repurchases, a combination that suggests it is leaning on integration-led growth and capital allocation to reinforce its software and AI platform positioning. The upgraded Agentic RAG release deepens the AI glue across Progress's stack as Domo and ShareFile Enterprise expand, making it easier to connect existing knowledge, collaboration tools and live business systems into AI agents. Progress Software's narrative projects $1.3 billion in revenue and $75.7 million in earnings by 2029, requiring 8.4% yearly revenue growth and a $16.7 million earnings decrease from $92.4 million today, and yields a $56.20 fair value, a 47% upside to its current price. The biggest current risk is whether integrating Domo and scaling newer SaaS offerings can be done without diluting the group's high 30s operating margin framework, as rising cloud and AI compute costs could still pressure margins.

BDI Enters Its Fourth Year, Championing Data Backbone to Extend ThaiLLM and AI Workforce

The Big Data Institute, or BDI, under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, has unveiled its operational direction as it enters its fourth year, aiming to elevate the country's data infrastructure so that it is interconnected and genuinely usable, alongside extending the Thai-language artificial intelligence technology ThaiLLM and developing the Data and AI workforce. Mr. Kulit Sombatsiri, Chairman of the Big Data Institute, disclosed at the event BDI Day 2026: Big Data for a Resilient Thailand that the Prime Minister's Office Regulation on Digital Data Sharing B.E. 2569 and the Strategic Plan for Driving the Utilization of Big Data B.E. 2568-2570 will serve as key mechanisms in establishing a framework for systematically linking government data. BDI aims to become the National Data Backbone through the Data Integration and Intelligence Platform, or D2, a platform for linking and analyzing big data and part of the National Data Backbone, to support systematic, standards-based and security-conscious data sharing among agencies. Professor Dr. Theeranee Achalakul, Director of the Big Data Institute, said that the operational direction for B.E. 2570 under the concept Data Backbone for a Resilient Thailand, connecting data to be ready for the future, will focus on developing mechanisms so that data from various agencies can be linked, exchanged and used for decision-making efficiently. It will also press ahead with projects that apply Data and AI to real-world problems, namely Travel Link, Health Link, Envi Link and PD Link, as well as workforce development through a Micro-credential approach, the THackle project and Hackathon activities. On the artificial intelligence front, BDI plans to further develop ThaiLLM in B.E. 2570, aiming to elevate the Thai language model to cover more of the country's contexts, including gathering dialect data, making it easier to access and experiment with, and developing benchmarks for data extraction and personal data detection, which ties into the concept of AI Sovereignty. The event also featured the presentation of a draft action plan for developing the national artificial intelligence ecosystem for B.E. 2570-2575 under the vision Intelligent Nation – Built. Trusted. Useful, which emphasizes four pillars: infrastructure, trustworthiness, workforce development and value creation from AI.

Palantir Maven Smart System Named Formal Program of Record by US Department of War

The U.S. Department of War has designated Palantir Technologies' Maven Smart System as a formal program of record, expanding the company's defense sector role into the fourth quarter of 2026. The designation reinforces the portion of Palantir's investment thesis that relies on consolidated U.S. defense work and long-lived contracts, though it also sharpens the risk of dependence on shifting government priorities. Separately, Palantir CEO Dr. Alex Karp will keynote alongside Zeta Global's CEO at Zeta Live 2026 in a joint session on data sovereignty and AI integration, spotlighting how Palantir's AI infrastructure is being woven into Zeta's customer intelligence platform for enterprise clients. The two developments together support the view that production-grade AI platforms are becoming non-optional for governments and large enterprises. Palantir builds software platforms used by intelligence and defense agencies in the US, the UK, and other markets.

Apollo GraphQL Launches GraphOS Agent Services for Governed AI Agent Access

Apollo GraphQL introduced Apollo GraphOS Agent Services, giving AI agents secure, governed and auditable access to an enterprise's systems and APIs. Built on GraphOS, Apollo's platform for connecting and orchestrating enterprise APIs, Agent Services sits between AI agents and enterprise systems, translating each agent request into the right API calls, brokering credentials, and enforcing field-by-field controls with no LLM in the judgement loop through new search, identity, policy, and audit capabilities. GraphOS today orchestrates more than 2 trillion operations monthly after more than a decade of production use, and Intuit is live in production with GraphOS and piloting Agent Services in preview, joining American Airlines, Block, and Expedia Group at Apollo Summit 2026. Apollo also expanded the GraphOS MCP Server into a full suite of agent-ready tools for building and managing the graph, and announced GraphOS Router 3.0, now in preview, which on typical workloads will spend 95% less time on query planning compared to Router 2.0, with more than 300x improvement on planning time and up to 97% less memory usage in the most complex graphs. Apollo's library of Skills has grown to 14 skills with more than 47,000 installs, and the GraphOS Operator for Kubernetes can now centrally deploy and manage the Apollo MCP Server alongside other GraphOS infrastructure. The announcements were unveiled at Apollo Summit, the world's largest GraphQL event, running Oct 6-8 in San Francisco.

LocalStack Launches LocalStack for Azure in Public Beta

LocalStack announced the public beta of LocalStack for Azure, a local cloud development platform for developers and AI agents building applications for Microsoft Azure. The launch marks LocalStack's third offering, following its AWS and Snowflake products, which the company says are trusted by more than 1,500 organizations with more than 18 million weekly active user sessions worldwide. LocalStack for Azure uses Microsoft Azure cloud service APIs to emulate how applications will behave once deployed, running as a lightweight container on the customer's private infrastructure so teams can test against a local cloud environment without live cloud credentials or provisioning delays. Co-founder and CTO Waldemar Hummer said the company has seen strong demand to bring the LocalStack experience to Microsoft Azure as AI agents change how software teams build and test cloud applications. Common use cases include autonomous agentic AI sandboxes, single-tenant developer sandboxes, and CI/CD automation, with the company noting that many cloud environments take 15 minutes or longer to provision when pushing code updates.

Innodata Scopes Seven-Language Speech Program as Part of Multimodal Push

Innodata Inc. is expanding its data-collection pipeline by scoping a multilingual speech program spanning seven languages, part of the company's progression from individual pilots toward enterprise-scale multimodal programs. During the second quarter, Innodata completed successful egocentric data-collection pilots with leading robotics companies, and its broader multimodal opportunities include the seven-language speech program alongside a separate, roughly 2 million-hour egocentric data program it hopes to secure following successful pilot results. In the second quarter the company also delivered training data aimed at extending the reasoning capabilities of state-of-the-art models across five frontier labs and five domains. Whether the seven-language speech opportunity turns into revenue growth will likely depend on converting the scoped program into a commercial engagement and scaling delivery. Innodata shares have climbed 30% so far this year, compared with an 18.1% rise for the industry, while Palantir Technologies has gained 8.1% and C3.ai has declined 16.6%; the stock trades at a forward 12-month price-to-sales multiple of 5.23 versus an industry average of 2.39, and the Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2026 earnings per share has remained unchanged in the past 30 days, with projections indicating a 28.3% rise in 2026.

Atlassian Corporation announced the launch of its Forward Deployed Engineering program, which embeds senior applied AI engineers directly into customer environments to deploy production-ready AI solutions. The program targets a gap between AI adoption and business impact: while 85% of knowledge workers use AI, only 6% of executives can point to clear, organization-wide ROI, according to Atlassian's report Leading with Context: Lessons from Atlassian's AI Journey. Avani Prabhakar, Chief People and AI Enablement Officer at Atlassian, said the company is seeing 50% higher AI adoption in engaged accounts as a result of embedding engineers with customers. In Atlassian testing, grounding AI agents in the Teamwork Graph produced answers that were 44% higher quality while using 48% fewer tokens. Expedia used the program to archive 600,000 pages across Confluence and save approximately 3,200 hours annually, with engineering teams now running 10,000+ agent invocations each month across 50 live projects, while Reddit is partnering with the engineers to accelerate its enterprise AI transformation. Engagements typically run 12 weeks, and Atlassian is also releasing The Atlassian Forward Deployed Engineering Playbook.

Atlassian Unveils AMP Protocol for Human-AI Teamwork at Team '26 Europe

Atlassian announced AMP: The Agentic Multiplayer Protocol at its Team '26 Europe conference, a new protocol that lets AI agents work alongside human teams in the flow of work. AMP gives agents context, identity, and governance, allowing them to participate through @mentions in Confluence, Jira comment threads, or Loom video briefs, while the Atlassian MCP Server pulls in context from third-party tools like Figma or IDEs. Every agent under AMP has a clear owner and distinct profile, appearing in real-time presence bars and cursors alongside human teammates, and agents are grounded in the Teamwork Graph, which now connects more than 250 billion objects and relationships. Atlassian also introduced a new Atlassian MCP Server, which now has nearly 2 million monthly active users and handles over 15 million daily tool calls, a 15x jump in six months, using up to 25% fewer tokens for the same Jira and Confluence work in internal benchmarking on Claude models. The company said it has shipped over 120 enterprise capabilities during the last year, with people and agents now working together more than 10 million times a month, and announced new capabilities including Agent Sessions, Non-Human Identities, Record for Agent, and Interactive PR Reviews.

ServiceNow COO Amit Zavery Bullish on AI Demand, Targets $30 Billion

ServiceNow President and COO Amit Zavery said the company remains bullish on enterprise AI demand and continues to beat and raise all its financial metrics. Speaking with Haslinda Amin on the sidelines of Token2049 in Singapore, Zavery said ServiceNow's growth rates have accelerated and that its AI-native product portfolio, including AI Control Tower, AI Workflow Factory, Autonomous Engineer and the recently launched Flow, is driving adoption. He dismissed concerns that customers are insourcing software, saying building software is usually just 20% of the cost of running and operating enterprise software, and that large language models account for less than 8 to 10% of ServiceNow's technology stack. Zavery said recent acquisitions, including Armis and Vectra, have made ServiceNow the eighth largest cyber security vendor in the world and augment rather than mask its core business, which he described as very strong. He said the company's plan to reach $30 plus billion dollars in the next three years remains on track, and that ServiceNow will stay product-led while continuing to look at acquisitions that extend its capabilities.

Meta Launches Enterprise Platform, Triggering Selloff in Software Stocks

Meta Platforms launched the Meta Enterprise Platform on September 28 as a new business pillar built around its AI technology stack, giving businesses and developers access to tools including the Meta Business Agent, Muse Code, Muse Agent, and Muse API. The market read the move as a competitive threat to enterprise software, sending the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF down 2%, ServiceNow down 5%, monday.com down 7%, and MongoDB down 25%. Meta recruited MongoDB CEO Chirantan "CJ" Desai to lead the initiative, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg pointed to Desai's background in full-stack software, security, AI, infrastructure, and business applications. The announcement also dragged down Microsoft by 2%, Salesforce by 4.5%, Oracle by 3%, Adobe by 4%, Figma by 6%, and SAP by 3%. Meta has tried enterprise before, having fully decommissioned its Workplace product in May 2026 after a decade, though recent SaaS results cut against the idea that AI automatically destroys software demand, with MongoDB growing revenue 30% in its latest quarter and raising guidance while ServiceNow's subscription revenue climbed 24.5%.

Ampersand Raises $15 Million Series A Led by Bessemer to Connect AI Agents to Legacy Enterprise Systems

Ampersand announced a $15 million Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Matrix and Flex Capital, to build integration infrastructure that lets agentic applications read and write inside legacy systems of record such as CRM and ERP platforms. New investors in the round include Yelp, Tenacity Capital, CTO Fund, Mana Ventures, and prominent angel investors, and Bessemer Partner Lauri Moore will join Ampersand's board. The company also announced the beta release of Andi, its AI integration agent that helps developers with the implementation work required to run their products in each customer's environment. Ampersand was founded by Ayan Barua, formerly CTO and co-founder of Siftery and VP of Engineering at G2, and Lauren Long, who built Firebase Extensions at Google; the two spoke with more than 100 companies building integrations before writing Ampersand's first line of code. Moore said connecting an agent to a system of record is a demo, but keeping that connection alive across hundreds of customers, with writes you cannot afford to get wrong, is much harder, and that is what Ampersand is building.

Palantir nearly doubled its revenue in fiscal Q2 2026, up 93% to $1.935 billion, while turning 47% of it into GAAP operating income. The company's U.S. government business brought in $809 million versus $764 million for commercial, but commercial grew 149% in the quarter against 90% for government. Palantir closed 220 deals worth at least $1 million, 98 worth at least $5 million, and 73 worth at least $10 million, and U.S. commercial remaining deal value hit $6.238 billion, up 124% from a year earlier. Full-year 2026 revenue guidance now sits between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion, with the U.S. commercial target raised to more than $3.424 billion, a growth rate of at least 134%. The stock trades at 116.90 times forward earnings against a sector multiple of 23.77, and at 55.40 times forward sales against 3.53 for the sector, though that is below Palantir's own 5-year average of 125.51. Michael Burry said in a Substack post reported by CNBC that he still holds long-dated Palantir puts, a bet he started in fall 2025, and Palantir's own release notes that its deal values assume customers exercise every option and cancel nothing, even though most contracts can be terminated.

Railtown AI Launches Native Swift Agent Development Kit and Railengine SDK for Apple Platforms

Railtown AI Technologies Inc. announced the launch of a native Railtracks Agent Development Kit for Swift and a new Swift SDK for Railengine, bringing its agentic application infrastructure directly into the development ecosystem used to build applications across Apple platforms. The Railtracks ADK for Swift gives Swift developers native building blocks for creating agentic applications, including agents, tools, orchestration, workflows and multi-agent systems, while the Railengine Swift SDK provides a contextual intelligence layer that retrieves personally identifiable information from iCloud while keeping it in the data layer. Railtown is also extending its observability technology into the Swift development lifecycle, and its Conductr platform extends that accountability model into production through centralized agent observability, error analysis and root cause analysis. "AI becomes much more powerful when it understands the context around us, but that cannot require giving up control of our personal information," said Marwan Haddad, Co-Founder and CTO of Railtown AI. CEO Cory Brandolini said bringing Railtracks and Railengine to Swift is an important step toward giving developers the infrastructure to earn trust in reliability, privacy, security and accountability.

Meta's Muse AI Agent Hits 1.1 Million Installs, Tops App Charts

Meta Platforms launched its first personal AI agent, Muse, on September 8, and the app reached 1.1 million installs roughly 10 days after launch, surpassing ChatGPT's 2022 debut, according to Apptopia app analytics. Within days of release, Muse jumped to number one on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and the launch is being framed as the most significant application release so far in the AI revolution. Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is now pushing the technology into the enterprise market, and MongoDB CEO CJ Desai has left that company to run Meta's enterprise platform business. Zuckerberg said the new Meta Enterprise Platform will initially bring the full technology stack, including the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code, to businesses and developers. Meta spent more than $100 billion on AI investments in 2026, and its shares jumped more than 25% in September, their largest monthly gain in over a decade, though most Wall Street analysts have not yet raised their earnings revisions to reflect the Muse launch. The article also cites a forecast from The Business Research Company that the enterprise AI market will grow from about $40 billion in 2026 to about $164 billion by 2030, a compound annual growth rate of 42%.

Meta and Microsoft Cut Back Employee Use of Anthropic's Claude Code

Meta Platforms and Microsoft are pulling back on employee use of Anthropic's Claude Code, according to The Information. Meta has reportedly cut Claude Code usage nearly in half, with the number of employees using the tool falling to about 30,000 from 60,000 earlier this year, even though the company still spent more than $105M on Claude Code in a recent 28-day period. Microsoft has reduced its spending on Anthropic's AI tools by about one-third as it pushes staff toward in-house AI tools, a pullback that reportedly began as far back as May. Meta has developed its own coding assistants, including Muse Code, which it began testing with outside customers in August, and MetaCode for internal use. In its recent initial public offering prospectus, Anthropic said two customers represented approximately 25% of its revenue, though it did not name them.

Insight Partners Launches First Forward Deployed Engineering Council

Insight Partners, the New York venture capital and private equity firm, is launching the industry's first forward deployed engineering council, with members drawn from Microsoft, Data Bricks, SAP, Service now, Anthropic, Wonderful, one of its own portfolio companies, and others. Operating Partner Pablo Dominguez announced the initiative on Bloomberg Tech, saying the council will share best practices with Insight's portfolio companies and the wider industry. Dominguez cited an IDC report finding that 88% of all AI implementations have not gotten past the POC stage, and said the top five platform companies spent over 9.5 billion dollars this year building their own forward deployed engineering teams. He said the firm sees forward deployed engineers as a way to expand a company's total addressable market rather than add a layer of cost, because the engineers embed with customers and feed each implementation back into the product. Insight Partners, which has backed over 600 companies in its 30 years investing in tech and AI software, will also hold its Scale Up AI conference in New York, with leaders from Anthropic and the CRO president of Data Bricks discussing how that company scaled from 0 to 7 billion.

Hirundo Releases Westernized Qwen, Cutting CCP-Aligned Answers From 89.8% to 2.8%

Hirundo, an AI safety lab specializing in machine unlearning, released Westernized versions of Alibaba's Qwen open-weight models with Chinese Communist Party political alignment removed directly from the model weights. On Hirundo's evaluation, the original Qwen3.6-35B-A3B produced CCP-aligned censorship, propaganda-aligned framing or political bias in 89.8% of responses across a 500-prompt benchmark, while the Westernized model did so in 2.8%, with reasoning, coding and instruction-following performance essentially unchanged. The reduction held on two external benchmarks, with refusals on DECCP falling from 65.26% to 3.16% and non-compliance on ChinaBench falling from 96.67% to 6.67%, and the same method cut CCP-aligned responses in the much smaller Qwen3.5-4B from 89.2% to 1.2%. On GPQA, IFBench, LiveCodeBench and MMLU-Pro, the Westernized model's scores stayed within 0.72 points of the original model's on average, and its safety and harmfulness benchmark scores also held. Both models are available now on Hugging Face as Qwen3.6-35B-A3B-Westernized and Qwen3.5-4B-Westernized, and Hirundo intends to release its CCPC-500 benchmark publicly.

Pegasystems Launches Launchpad.io Conversational AI Assistant

Pegasystems announced Launchpad.io's AI Assistant, a conversational development tool that lets enterprises design, build, and evolve applications using natural language while preserving governance, reliability, and scalability. The assistant turns plain-language business requirements directly into application logic, workflows, and data models, which could widen participation in enterprise software development across non-technical teams. The launch follows the general availability of Pega Infinity 26 in July 2026, which introduced broader AI assistants, agentic workflows, and no token pricing across the core platform, with Launchpad.io extending those ideas into more accessible, conversational app creation. Pegasystems' narrative projects $2.3 billion in revenue and $334.9 million in earnings by 2029, requiring 10.1% yearly revenue growth and an earnings increase of about $10.9 million from $324.0 million today, while some of the most optimistic analysts already expected about US$2.4 billion in revenue and roughly US$397.9 million in earnings. ZoomInfo Bundles Agent Teams Into GTM Studio at No Extra Cost After DoubleO.ai Buy

ZoomInfo announced Agent Teams on October 1, a native AI agent orchestration layer built directly into its existing GTM Studio environment at no additional cost, making it the first major GTM data vendor to embed agent orchestration as a standard platform capability rather than a premium tier. The feature requires no new SKU, no separate contract, and no additional purchase, and ships with more than 50 ready-made agents that run against ZoomInfo's GTM Context Graph, a data layer connecting more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts, and billions of buying signals. The architecture comes from DoubleO.ai, which ZoomInfo acquired on September 30 for undisclosed financial terms, one day before the launch. Every play operates through a Playbook configuration layer with audit trails and credit estimates, addressing a trust gap highlighted by Cisco research at RSA 2026 showing 85% of organizations experimenting with agentic AI but only 5% in broad production, and by Gartner's projection that more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be canceled by the end of 2027. Agent Teams ships with native integrations into Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Slack, and Gmail, and connects to Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, and ChatGPT. ZoomInfo has not published reliability benchmarks or performance metrics for Agent Teams, and the specific plays described are vendor-reported capabilities.

SoftwareOne Achieves AWS Data Competency in Analytics and Database

SoftwareOne announced it has achieved the AWS Data Competency in the Analytics and Database categories, a validation awarded only to AWS partners with proven customer success and deep technical expertise. The competency recognizes SoftwareOne's work helping customers modernize and run mission-critical database workloads on AWS, including migrating from proprietary licensed engines to open-source alternatives to cut costs and building data lakes and analytics platforms. Gudmundur Adalsteinsson, Chief Channels and Ecosystems Officer at SoftwareOne, said the recognition reflects both sides of how the company helps customers, optimizing and modernizing databases while building the data foundations that AI and agentic AI projects depend on. The achievement builds on SoftwareOne's existing AWS credentials, including the AWS AI Services Competency and AWS Machine Learning Competency, and its participation in the AWS Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance, bringing its total to 23 AWS Competencies. SoftwareOne, a global software and cloud solutions provider listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and Euronext Oslo Bors under the ticker symbol SWON, is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner with a presence in over 70 countries and a team of about 12,000 professionals.
